Kirklands Hotel was beautifully decorated with a modern feel, and the accessible stairs made navigating the premises easy for someone like me. The cozy lounge area was a delightful spot to relax and enjoy a book.
More seating in communal areas would be appreciated.

perfectly placed for park strolls and local dining delights
I had a lovely stay, enjoyed superb breakfasts every morning, and found it so easy to explore nearby Kirkgate Park just an 850-meter walk away and also visit the charming Court House Coffee Bar which is just a few steps away for a cozy meal.

Had an amazing group trip! We explored the Van Farm Nature Reserve and were blown away by the sight of thousands of pink-footed geese. The place is super friendly, and the food was delicious. Breakfast options were fresh, and the rooms were cozy. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
Only downside was when we tried to get a glass of wine at closing time, and they wouldn’t serve us despite being guests. It was a bit confusing.

Loved the family room, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The food was great—some of the best we've had! The local views are stunning, a feast for the eyes. Plus, you can chill in the cozy living room while the kids are asleep.

Had a lovely time with a clean, cozy double room and the best poached eggs for breakfast! The garden area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and the terrace was a nice spot to relax with a drink. Only thing worth mentioning was that the room felt a bit creaky, but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment at all. 🌟

Exceptional food offerings, especially the breakfast that had a full Scottish spread worth raving about. A warm, inviting ambiance adds a cozy feel to the stay, making it perfect for relaxation.
Creaky floorboards throughout the establishment can be pretty disruptive when trying to catch some sleep, which may not sit well with light sleepers. Noise from the main road occasionally pierces through, especially with motorbikes zipping by, so if you're after total tranquility, you might want to keep that in mind. The Wi-Fi connectivity also dips at times, making it a bit frustrating if you're looking to get work done or stream something. No outside seating area available during our stay, which could've been great if the weather allowed for it.

Great stay in a quiet room
We stayed for a night in a twin room. Check-in was super easy with friendly staff. The room was spacious and quiet, perfect for catching some Z's. Breakfast was delish too! Had dinner as well but the food was kinda meh, slow service too, but we didn't mind much since we were chatting. Parking right out front is a bonus!

Service is exceptional, with cheerful staff making every effort to ensure a pleasant experience. The a la carte breakfast menu stood out, especially the fresh coconut and lime porridge, which was a delightful twist. parking can be tight during peak hours, and a service charge is automatically added to the dining bill, which may be surprising. Despite that, the convenient location allows for easy access to the town and local attractions.

Perfect Family Getaway
The breakfast was killer, I mean, every morning they served up this massive full Scottish that had my taste buds dancing. And the room? It was huge, like, more of a flat than a room, really spacious for the family.
It wasn’t a bargain but given the experience, it was totally worth it.
